Chris Gentry, DVM

Dr. Gentry is a 1995 graduate of the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine and a 1991 graduate of UCA with a degree in Biology. In 1996, he opened Vilonia Animal Clinic. Since 2011, he has shared ownership with Dr. Jenkins.
His family includes his wife, Melanie, and children, Nick and Janie and all his pets: Smokey Joe, Harper Lee and Hazel Grace – all Mountain Curs, Skippy John Jones Gentry, the tuxedo cat, and Jezzie, Red, & Hootie - the stray litter of kittens that all came home and stayed!
J. Paul Jenkins, DVM
Years of Practice: 15
Dr. Jenkins is a 2002 graduate of the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine. He did his pre-veterinary studies at Arkansas State University and the University of Arkansas. He practiced for 2 years in Clinton, Louisiana prior to joining Vilonia Animal Clinic in 2004. Since 2011, he shares ownership with Dr. Gentry.
Dr. Jenkins is on the Advisory Board for the Veterinary Technician program at ASU-Beebe and is the current Vice President of the Arkansas Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Jenkins' family includes his wife, Melissa and children, Maddie and Thomas and his pets: Sage, a German Wire Haired Pointer, Libby, a Border Collie mix and Ivy, a Miniature Dachshund, and Olaf, the big orange tabby cat.
Sara Pilgrim, DVM
Dr. Pilgrim has had a deep love for animals from an early age, and she has a special interest in small mammals, reptiles, and other exotic pets. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2016 from Louisiana State University.
She graduated with honors and is a member of the Phi Zeta Society. Prior to her veterinary education as LSU, she received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Harding University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2012. She is also a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association.
